The 18th Travel and Tourism Grand Prix

As the main organizer of the Travel and Tourism Grand Prix, the COT Group has begun to accept entries for the 18th edition of this prestigious contest. As in previous years, four competition categories have been announced. The deadline for applications is the end of January next year. The results will be announced at a ceremony to mark the start of the HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD 2025 trade fair.

The Travel and Tourism Grand Prix highlights exceptional achievements in the travel industry, brings attention to new developments and aims to assist those working in the state administration and private entities operating in the travel industry when creating communication strategies and effective ways of addressing target groups. The traditional organizer of the competition is the COT Group. Partners and co-organisers of the 18th edition are CzechTourism and ABF, organisers of the international travel and tourism trade fair HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD.

Well-Established Rules and Tried-and-Tested Categories

“The Travel and Tourism Grand Prix has come of age. This year it will celebrate its 18th birthday is entering adult life with categories and rules that have been finely tuned over the years. Based on experience from previous years and taking into account current trends, this year, we have only slightly tweaked the evaluation criteria and categories so that the widest possible circle of entrants have the chance to take part, and to make sure we cover key developments in the travel and tourism market,” stated COT group executive Eva Frindtová, adding: “The common theme running through the categories is the AI phenomenon.”

Commercial entities, regional authorities, towns, communities, destination management companies, foreign tourist boards and other organisations and companies have the possibility to enter their projects in the following four competition categories:

  • Best tourist product
  • Best electronic project (web, app, technology, AI)
  • Best sustainable tourism project
  • Innovative marketing communication

It has become something of a tradition that each of the competition categories has its own jury composed of experts in the given field. And this year will be no different. In addition to members of the panel, projects will also be judged by user experience specialists (UX), social media experts, licenced Google partners, travel trade experts, graphic designers, destination management companies and members of the academic community.
